Building a series
And then there were two.
This month sees the launch of Dreams of Death, the sequel to my debut novel, Dare to Dream.
Writing book two of this psychological thriller trilogy has been as fun as writing book one, but a slower process for a number of reasons. First, I've had less time to write, having drafted most of my first book whilst furloughed during 2020. Second I've had to pause frequently to check character details from Dare to Dream in order to ensure consistency of physical appearance, personality and voice. I've also set the story within a tight and visible timeline, again leading to lots of checking back regarding dates and the order of events.
The result is a faster paced tale: with eight murders, across fives months and with one suspect….
